Summary:

Performs a wide variety of tasks associated with industrial waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment and facility decontamination, and handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

Duties and responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
  • Loads and secures necessary equipment and supplies. *
  • Pumps, transports and disposes of liquid and semi-solid wastes. *
  • Performs tasks involving the uses of vacuum truck services, bulk hauling services and high pressure water jetting. *
  • Works in potentially elevated noise levels. *

Summary:

Responsible for the coordination of a comprehensive health and safety program that includes hazardous materials and waste management service. Position is to ensure compliance with the facility, state, and federal regulations and guidelines regarding but not limited to hazardous chemicals, chemical waste, emergency response, and industrial service activities. Perform other duties as required by executive management of MEI. Working as part of a team with the training group.

Duties and responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
  • Develop Health and Safety Procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and corporate policies.*
  • Develop and continually review corporate safety programs as they apply to company policies and procedures in order to evaluate their effectiveness while implementing improvements where needed to achieve maximum effectiveness.*
  • Assure compliance with MEI Respiratory Protection Program including fit testing and calibration of air monitoring equipment.*
  • Prepare reports and maintain records to comply with internal company requirements and external regulatory requirements.*
  • Develop and implement plans to provide for the safety and health of company employees at multi-sites.*

  • Prospect for new clients: *
    • Establish relationship;
    • Find needs and develop solutions;

With limited supervision, the Equipment dealership mechanic performs maintenance and repair of complex equipment in a safe and professional manner.

Education/Formal Training

  • High School graduate or GED

  • Perform maintenance check on rental equipment before and after use for damage, hours used, tires, mileage, fuel levels, safety decals and safety compliance
